Inspiring Accounts to Follow
With everything going on in the world, sometimes I need a little escape. Social media doesn’t always provide the break I need, it’s a lot of noise. But other times, I come across accounts that blow my mind, give me inspiration, make me laugh, or are just that tiny escape I need.
When I create art, my end goal is to make art that brings joy. So here’s a list of Instagram accounts that do the same.

Hendry is an artist who uses colored pencils as her medium. She creates hyper-realistic art using such simple tools. Her subjects include shoes, cigarette butts, flowers, balloons, disco balls, and more. But my favorite subject I’ve seen of hers is blobs of oil paint. Absolutely unreal!!

Molly Berry captures her life in Guatemala and her photos are absolutely stunning. They’re warm, inviting, yet simple and clean at the same time. I don’t know how she does it. But every time her photo pops on my feed I know it’s hers immediately, she definitely has a recognizable style. And all of her photos make me want to hop on a plane to visit Guatemala immediately.

If you’ve ever wanted your wardrobe to feel like NYE and a birthday party wrapped into one, Rachel Burke is the person to follow. She creates insanely fun jackets made from tinsel, along with other items like dresses, earrings, and more. I don’t know when I will have an occasion to wear something like this but I can’t wait for that day.

If you want to believe in true love, follow Geoffrey Walk. Geoffrey and his wife Pauline are so in love after being married for nearly 70 years. They post videos about their simple days of taking walks, baking, crafts, and how much they love each other. They are absolutely adorable.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, and haven’t heard of this account, Accidentally Wes Anderson is exactly what it sounds like. Photos of places that look like they came straight out of a Wes Anderson film, but actually exist in real life. This account shows us that life does in fact imitate art…or is it the other way around in this case?
